General Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist will develop an understanding of current and future hiring needs and utilize analytics to identify and forecast talent trends in order to effectively source and develop a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates. The Sourcing Specialist will continually look for new opportunities, maintain candidate engagement, participate and help coordinate a wide range of recruitment events, and promote University of Michigan Health-West’s employment brand.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sourcing/recruiting, and/or marketing required.
• Associates degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• Ability to recruit for multiple disciplines and work with diverse populations.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of social media, databases, and Internet searches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• The ability to multi-task, work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, and high volumes.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Creates and fosters relationships with community resources such as vocational training facilities, local high schools, colleges, and other pertinent recruiting organizations to provide a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
2. Proactively sources candidates utilizing various sourcing channels including, but not limited to professional networking, resume databases, social media, cold calling/e-mailing, and existing candidate pools, to create and maintain a pipeline of diverse qualified candidates.
3. Contributes to the development of competitive sourcing strategies to find and attract passive and active talent while marketing University of Michigan Health – West’s employment brand and reinforcing its positive image.
4. Assists in development of marketing and communication plans promoting University of Michigan Health West’s employment opportunities.
5. Assists with prescreening and interviewing applicants and follow-up with management and candidates after departmental interviews.
6. Participates in job fairs (internally and externally), coordinates in-house recruitment fairs, and other special recruiting events.
7. Responsible for utilizing analytics and other information sources in the forecasting of talent needs.
8. Collaborates with members of Human Resources, Marketing, and management teams to develop and update employer value proposition.
9. Collaborates across system on pipeling, including serving as liaison between Human Resources and other pipeling initiatives including DEI and Health Equity.
10. Responsible for developing and updating content on the Talent Acquisition Careers Page.
11. Speak at local colleges and universities regarding health care careers.
12. Performs other duties as assigned. These may include but are not limited to: Maintaining a current knowledge base of department processes, protocols and procedures, pursuing self-directed learning and continuing education opportunities, and participating on committees, task forces, and work groups as determined by management.
